Last week I sliced up half an orange, placed it in a pitcher, and then filled the pitcher with filtered water. I let it sit in the refrigerator for a little bit and voilà -- I had a tasty alternative to regular water.
I have always told myself to drink more water, and my mother tells me this every time we are on the phone. So, I thought: why not at least make this daily battle tasty? Why not stop considering it a battle?
In college, my friends and I joked that the cafeteria put anything in its water just to make it look like it was not water. We joked, but now I am trying to make water taste as if it is in fact not water. I have come full circle. I am now a wife and want to get my life in a bit of order before I reach my thirties. So here I am, like my friend Alexis, trying to change the flavor of water. Here's to being responsible, friends! Adulthood doesn't always have to be boring!
