Hello everyone and thank you for bearing with me during a bit of an absence from the site. Some of you may know that my husband and I moved to Texas in May and jumped through many hoops to get settled in our new home. After getting up and running, I found myself pouring all of my time into a secret project, which sadly took away from my writing here. That being said, I am extremely happy with the work that has been done on the project thus far and would like to start delving more into Exuberantly Lizzy content.

As we are going through quarantine part two in Texas, we have been enjoying our new waterfront apartment to the fullest. Since this abode is half the size of our last place, it has acted as a great motivator to do another complete declutter. My favorite part of this recent purge has been sifting through my closet and wearing pieces that I am unsure of until a decision is reached.

My husband and I have also taken this time at home to do Whole 30, which has required us to spend lots of time in the kitchen. After being on the plan for 24 days, I have to say that I am officially "used to" healthy eating. The beginning of the elimination diet was a bit rough, as it cuts out sugar, dairy, grains, legumes, and other common problematic foods; however, we are certainly over the hump and quite content with the program. It will be exciting to go through a food reintroduction process where we will see if we are especially sensitive to any of the notorious staples.

If you are not wanting to start Whole 30 right now, I can also recommend taking walks around your neighborhood to break up the quarantine monotony. My husband and I try to walk or do yoga at home each day just to make sure we are somewhat active.

I have also started checking out books at our local library, which was one of my favorite pastimes in Florida. If your library is closed, I recommend visiting your local branch's site to see if you can gain access to a myriad of free audiobooks. I happen to love Hoopla, which my library allows me to use at no cost. The last few books I have read were set in London, which gave me a chance to vicariously travel during a time when we all wish we could. If you enjoy historical fiction, I recommend Jennifer Robson's entertaining series set during the world wars.

July is my birth month, so I will be celebrating until it's very last day. I hope you too can celebrate during this marvelous summer, even if that celebrating takes place in your dwelling.

Happy summer, friends; and thanks for reading!
