Kale Berry Smoothie


Get a healthy boost with this tasty treat and feel great about yourself all day long. The Kale Berry Smoothie packs in a punch of vitamins and minerals without your taste buds even knowing what happened. The amount of kale you are able to consume in a single sitting, when you don’t know it is there, is simply astounding. Smoothies are likewise also a great way to take in calcium and fiber. I like to include natural fats in my smoothies to aid in the absorption of key nutrients, thus, I have included olive oil which goes nearly unnoticed because of the smoothie’s strong berry flavor. While there are many other benefits from the ingredients listed below, I will stop here and just let you know that you are doing your body an incredible favor when you enjoy this delightful drink. Ingredients

2 cups frozen kale

1.5 cup berry medley (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries)

1 frozen banana

2 tsp flax seed

2 tsp chia seeds

1.5 cup filtered water

1-2 tsp agave

2 tsp extra virgin olive oil

5 tsp (20g) unflavored collagen powder (optional)


Instructions

1. Combine all ingredients, except collagen, in a blender

2. Blend two to three times for extra creaminess

3. Add optional collagen and blend again

4. Garnish with berries, chia, or flax


Makes 1 large or 2 small glasses
